CAPITAL IN COMMUNITY AND ITS INFLUENCE TO THE QUALITY OF LIFE


The purpose of the research in general is to analyze the capital in community and its influence to the quality of life (QoL), analized by the public perception.  In more spesific way, it  explains the role of government, private sector, and local community in influencing capital namely social capital, cultural capital, political capital, and economic capital and their influence to improve the quality of life. This study applies the dominant – less dominant design model.  Main approach applied quantitative study supported by qualitative approach. This research conducted in  location of implementation PRIMA TANI namely program dissemination acceleration of agriculture technology innovation in Bali, precisely in Sanggalangit, District of Gerokgak-Buleleng.
The main finding in this dissertation are: First, result of regression and path analysis indicates that social capital is the most dominance influence for improvement of QoL, compared to other capital form. Second, in the agribussiness development show that institutional environment as formal regulation and policies, integrated with  informal relationship at the messo and micro levels  of individuals and their interpersonal ties as institutionalism mechanism. At the mechanism,  the role of tripartit, plays necessary function for improvement of capital and improve the  quality of  life.  Domination of the role of social capital in improvement the  QoL must be supported by policy intervention in the case of budgeting and development programs which can stimulate social networks grows. Implementation of agricultural innovation must transformativelly for social changes, both for cultural and structural. Investation for social space need to be improved, because the invesment of this case relatively lag than  in the field of economics.
